From running wild on the remote beaches of Northland, to a balcony overlooking K Road, the seedy street that never sleeps, Kayt made her start in Aotearoa New Zealand. After graduating from Auckland University with a degree in Film and Politics, she left NZ for a year in Europe. A three month jaunt to Eastern Europe, fermented her obsession for travel, photography (and former Soviet countries.) She spent eight years in Taiwan, exploring it’s abandoned and forgotten spaces, before relocating to the small island nation of Bougainville. She has recently returned to Taiwan and continues to discover the world through the lens of her camera and through the written word.

Kayt’s writing has been featured in Millie Magazine and the Asia Media Centre.

She was a semi-finalist in the Capital Photographer of the Year 2022 and has had photos featured on National Geographic’s website.
